PMAT to respond to the Cambria Green TPC Decision
The Planning Matters Alliance Tasmania (PMAT) will respond to the Cambria Green
Tasmanian Planning Commission decision.
Further to the Tasmanian Planning Commission (TPC) hearing held on the 30 August 2019, the TPC yesterday released its decision on the Cambria Green draft planning scheme amendment.
The TPC determined that it does not have jurisdiction to determine the Cambria Green draft planning scheme amendment. The TPC is not satisfied that landowner consent had been given.
A huge amount of community effort was made, to bring the jurisdictional issues to the TPC.
This is a community win. The decision demonstrates the importance of robust planning
processes and the importance of the independence of the Tasmanian Planning Commission.
