RE: PMAT Submission: draft Land Use Planning and Approvals (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2026
The Planning Matters Alliance Tasmania (PMAT) thanks the State Planning Office for the opportunity to comment on the draft Land Use Planning and Approvals (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2026 here. The main consultation document is the Draft Land Use Planning and Approvals (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2026 Background Report for Consultation March 2026 (the Background Report for Consultation). Please see attached PMAT’s position regarding the six key elements of the draft Bill.
Consultation was open from 30 March to 11 May 2026. Thank you for allowing PMAT to lodge our submission on the 13 May 2026.
We understand, that following the consultation period the submissions will be reviewed with the issues raised informing modifications to the draft Bill prior to tabling in Parliament towards the middle of the year. We are happy for our submission to be made public.
